What do I sell on eBay?
OK, so you've made the decision to give up a few hours of your week to tap into the booming online market that is eBay. You want a slice of the thousands of pounds trading hands every day, but how do you do it? What do you sell? Where do you find the stock? How can you sell something when surely there is no room for a new niche?
Well, it's all very easy. I know its easy because I constantly find new products to sell on eBay. I find new products to sell because I know if I try and sell popular products, I will face fierce competition, and someone will always offer what I'm selling cheaper. Why would I want to sell playstation's for £5 profit when I could be selling something else for £50 profit, and selling more?
The first misconception which new sellers face is selling the wrong product. Product selection is essential. You need to be highly critical when choosing your products to ensure they will sell. For that you need a niche. I am confident there are still many untapped niches, I find them all the time. Sounds like hard work? - it isn't, and remember once you have found a niche, your profits will start rolling in. A niche can be found by applying several simple rules. These are outlined in The EBay Manual (www.TheEbayManual.co.uk).
The next hurdle is where to find these niche products. Well you can go about searching google for hours upon end, but there are faster and more effective ways. This too is covered in The EBay Manual. To make a start, you may wish to visit a wholesalers website. The best by far is www.wholesalepages.me.uk. This website covers so many categories and has recently branched out to include foreign wholesalers so you can easily get your hands on products from china and the US, which believe me is very helpful in sourcing niche products.
Once you have found your niche, and a wholesaler, there really isn't anything stopping you make thousands from ebay. Whilst you may get frustrated at first, finding wholesalers, keep at it. This is the hard work. Once you have found a few niche products, your ebay income will soon pick up. If you sold 5 items a week at £50 profit, that's £250 for barely any work. Sound too good to be true? - it's not. It's the same feeling entrepreneurs get when they sell thousands of products at once for several thousand. It's the best kind of money to be made, and I would say the easiest I've found!
Good Luck!
